Greetings! I grew up in Hopatcong, New Jersey. My piano training began at the age of five. I began singing during high school and performed in many Broadway musicals in high school, college, community and dinner theaters. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education (vocal major) from the University of Vermont. While there, I continued piano training in performance, pedagogy and accompaniment. I have taught music in New Jersey, Texas and Vermont with jobs ranging from pre-k to twelfth grade. I’ve also directed adult choirs at several churches in Vermont. My last twenty-two years of teaching in the public school system were spent in Vermont at the Rutland Town School. There, I taught general music and middle school chorus, directed many musicals, concerts, recitals and talent shows and provided private lessons in voice and piano. During those years, I was active singing with the Rutland Area Chorus and took advanced vocal training with Nan Nall and Lise Messier, directors of the Opera Theater of Weston. In 2011, I enjoyed performing the role of the Queen in Mozart’s “The Magic Flute” for the Opera theater of Weston’s school outreach program. For recreation, I enjoy walking, swimming, kayaking, arts and crafts and making music.
